OUR MISSION IS TO REDUCE OUR ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT IN ALL ASPECTS OF OUR BUSINESS.
At CAYET we use dead stock from existing productions. We grab textiles that already exist, giving them a new life with our creations. Good things take time, so this will be a continuous journey in the coming years. As a starting point, we have sealed partnerships with trusted suppliers and factories that share the same values as us, to manufacture and create responsibly and ethically.
Our partners and suppliers are located in the north of the country within a radius of 30 kilometers. This policity allows us to follow the whole process of creation of CAYET pieces from the beginning to the end. We know where our yarn comes from because the factory gives us this information in a transparent way. We are able to follow the production of our garments through the small ateliers that work with us.
Many of our suppliers are small businesses and family oriented businesses that are located very close to CAYET’s headquarters.
This intimacy allows us to accompany the manual production of our garments, as well as observe in detail the making of all the processes and steps in the creation of a piece of clothing. This process is careful because we can test and verify all the phases in detail.
MADE IN PORTUGAL
Creating and producing in Portugal is a pride to us that has no explanation. To produce in Portugal, is to keep alive the culture and the know how of the Portuguese textile industry that through centuries has built the authority of the seal of quality and the Know How of the art of creating clothing with technique and design. The Portuguese textile archive is rich not only in production, machinery and Human Resources. It is rich in fabric archives, ancestral techniques that make our brand a legacy with the MADE IN PORTUGAL label.
